Alcohol next to sleeping pills?

why can't you take sleeping pills with alcohol? caould you please index the effects and the cause of the effects. thanks!

I hope you are not attempting to harm yourself intentionally. Otherwise I see no function why you would come on here and ask such a silly question.

sleeping pills like barbiturates and benzodiazepines depress breathing as does alcohol. When the two are combined, even within normal doses it can cause a homicidal respiratory depression.
