How long fluid methadone thats surrounded by it's plastic container stay potent?I be told it loses potency within a month
Need 2 know if liquid methadone in a regular plastic next to lid container that the Dr. gives it 2 you in, does it lose any potency or effectivness if not here in storage or medicine cabinet for a while? I be told it loses its potency after a month? is that true?if i get a month supply would my last doses be not as important as my first week or two's?
Answers: Many clinics suggest that it be kept in the refrigerator to prevent bacteria from growing and keep hold of it fresh. In addition, I would recommend that you keep it surrounded by a lock box in the fridge and NEVER in a drug cabinet because if someone were to take it (you never know these days) and die you could be charged. Better nontoxic than sorry.
