so last month, my orthodontist took the metal thing that go around the back teeth on one tooth. then today, i be eating a cherry when all of a sudden my bracket come off and now it's completely stale my tooth. i didn't even bite the seed hard! so my grill is that is it because i don't have the metal entry on one of my back teeth the reason it come off? thanks. if nearby are any dentists on Y! answers, it'd be great if you helped.
Answers: i got my braces sour a month ago and they did that to me too...and the EXACT thing happened to me. your teeth arent used to the passion of not having the back holder within so they are sensitive for the first few days. try to aviod hard things for at least three to four days. after that, your home free for the most fragment. its not a huge deal, just programme an appt with you ortho asap to get the bracket fixed.
It sounds similar to he took your molar bands off the spinal column, which happens sometimes. Some of us don't even have molar band (like me)... and I have had no problems keeping my brackets on.
In lingo of did the removal of the band cause the bracket to pop stale, only your ortho would know. Sometimes bracket glue can deteriorate and come loose - even when intake soft things - so don't assume it was all your guiltiness. Be honest with your ortho when you go contained by to get it fixed and be sure to ask him if it had anything to do near your band being taken past its sell-by date at the previous appointment, as he should be able to answer you.
The band within back can help stablize the braces surrounded by the mouth, but it shouldn't have anything to do with the individual bracket staying on or coming loose.
i have braces, i could be b/c the wire is too tight the tension and pressure of late made it pop off. call the ortho and he'll stick it on, usuall free of charge. it can occur its no big deal but just attain is sorted asap cuz u need the tension on adjectives the teeth!
