Deep cleaning $231 per call on!!?

I WENT TO MY DENTIST TODAY AND SHE CHARGED ME 231$ PER VISIT, MEANING NEXT TIME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER 231 FOR THE SECOND PART OF DEEP CLEANING(OTHER HALF OF MY MOUTH).
My receits says that it costs 60$ per quadrant(ok my insurance is not so good i twig that) so its 120$ but on top of that i was charged new 53$ per quadrant for irrigation which apparently my insurance would not cover. I asked if i can do cleaning without this irrigation and received a negative answer. Yes I hold doubts that I really need this "therapeuric parenteral drug" which cost 53$ per 1/4 of my mouth. What do you think? Is that really basic to use those drugs and are they really that expensive or my dentist just made money out of me?

PS: all weighty cleaning procedure also took like 25 minutes as this dentist was busy beside me and another patient at the same time. Plus she didn't allow to use me bureau phone to call my insurance to varify charges.
The additional charges for irrigation dont nouns right. That is usually included in the charge for perio scaling. But perio scale takes an hour usually, and requires you to be numbed first. And the dentist does not do this procedure, the dental hygientist does. So something doesnt sound right.
I would appointment your insurance company and ask what your coverage is for cleanings and deep cleanings. But you must know that what your ins. company pays has no carriage on what the dentist charges.
The cost of dentistry varies from state to state. In California $231 per quadrant is not outrageous. Billing a separate charge for irrigation seems rude. We numb your mouth, perform scaling and root planing, after irrigate. We usually will do 2 quadrants per visit, but some people prefer 4. It's adjectives billed the same. This service is performed by a dental hygienist, surrounded by most states. Not all states are alike, and some have such fixed Dental Hygiene education that the procedures that are allowed by hygienists are minimal. So much depends on your state. Insurance companies also determine fees by region. Doesn't seem disinterested, but that's the way it is. Depending on your state, a dental school might not be a discouraging option. THIS IS A TOTAL OUTRAGE!
my deep cleaning took 2 visit and they were 65 bucks each, and i dont own insurence!
also, i had not had my teeth cleaned contained by 12 years (terrified of dentists) go elsewhere, you are paying someone else's bill, or paying for the receptionists bottled water bill, and an upgarde of the office's toilet weekly to the soft kind.
Wow! that's too much money. yeah, you may have terrible insurance, because it should cover more than that, but 231.00 for open cleaning is ridiculous. If the dentist found a need for meds, then you probably needed it. Yes, the meds are completely expensive. Most of the time insurance companies cover a percentage of dental treatments, but in your case your insurance is not covering that much. I would shift to a dental school where you can attain the same treatment but alot cheaper. THIS IS A TOTAL OUTRAGE!

I hope your dentist is not Aspen Dental. They try to do the low cleaning to everyone. It is just a money making procedure.
Lose your dentist and find one who is not greedy. Those charges are, among other things, ridiculous.
The entire job WITH irrigation and enamel treatment should hold been about $275.00 I hope your dentist is not Aspen Dental. They try to do the low cleaning to everyone. It is just a money making procedure.
