I took a laxative, and I still haven't pooped. I am really worried, HELP!?

Today is Sunday and it has been over a week since my second bowel movement (probably due to the fact that I haven't eaten solid foods after my suitability teeth operation and have taken vicodin) but I haven't taken vicodin for over two days, and I took two tablespoons of laxative an hour ago, along with a plum and a chalice of water. I still have no desire to move about number two. I'm worried, but should I be? What's the worst that could happen? Thank you for your time.
Just give it some more time. Sometimes it can take up to 8 hours formerly it works. Like everyone has suggested, drink more water as to be exact what makes laxatives work. The nauseous response is the beginning of the laxative working. Sorry that you are feeling discomfort.

Do you feel bloated or discomfited? How much food have you eaten contained by the last week? (since you said you weren't eating much due to the teeth issue)--if it's one and the same amount as having eaten a couple of days worth of food beneath regular conditions, I say don't worry until you quality sick or uncomfortable. You have to lurk longer than one hour for a laxative to work as well. Most laxatives can take 6-8 hours to work (why you pilfer them at bedtime, so when you wake up your ready to go)

A suppository will work the fastest if you're really worried roughly it.

Since you haven't had solids and have be taking narcotics, it's no big surprise you haven't gone for a week.

Keep hydrated. Eat fiber foods for bulk. It'll happen.

Beef up your sea intake 2-3 eight ounce glasses every hour. I wouldn't mess around with the fluid laxative(personal experience). Try Dulcolax tablet and keep up with plentifully of water also do some walking to get your bowels moving.
Most likely the reality that you didn't have solid food and were taking Vicodin cause you to be constipated. It takes more than just a few hours for most laxatives to work. Usually at least possible overnight.

The only laxitive I know of to work within a few hours is Phosphate Laxative Oral that you can buy OTC at any drug store, walmart, Walgreens etc.

merely give it a couple more hours and drink plenty of water most laxitives rob longer than that to work
you could enjoy a fecal impaction i would drink some protein and you will Pooh umm if not go to the Doc you will obtain a backup of Pooh and it can and will kill you if you have a Plug of Pooh surrounded by there and if you stress about it guzzle some Protein and you should have the runs. o what fun the stress will do that to ya for free
