How can I back my husband stop smoking?

He smokes Marlboro Lights (72's) and most of the time he rolls his own with Bugler tobacco. He used to smoke Marlboro reds but now he of late smokes lights, and right at a pack a day. He's been trying to quit for 2 years in a minute and I'm glad he's down to lights, but it's a stress outlet, too. He seems to drink more alcohol when he cuts down "too much" on the smoking, so what can I do to help him? He won't return with the patches.
Hypnosis seems to be a great option to relieve smokers quit. I can attest myself that this works and so can millions of others...Just do research online you'll see.

Hypnosis can help with the stress that cause users to want to smoke. It attacks the smoking habit at the very source.

Smoking, approaching any other habit can be easily broken by fine tuning your mind. The denial side effects of smoking are so obvious that most people do not inevitability to be reminded of them again.

Even then, Cigarettes are a revolutionary product. Like most other addictions, smoking is the one point that people want to stop, but they just cannot, because quitting on your own is a short time ago too difficult. It’s just not important to stop, but to stay stopped is even key. So, if you have been battle with the cigarette butt for a while now, lone to find yourself losing, it would be a wise option to look at hypnosis for stopping smoking.

Research have shown that hypnosis for smoking is more effective in helping smokers quit, out of adjectives the new methods including Nicotine Replacement, Group Therapy, and Acupuncture amongst many others.
Unfortunately I don't think you can stop someone who does not want to stop.

I agree near the answer above... introduce him to some lung/throat/mouth cancer sufferers.
Answers:    You can use all the treatments and drugs and patch in the world but the person have to have a good idea to quit.

You have to get him to focus on the children aspect. Get him to quit for the children's vigour.

But in saying this assistance via patch and hypnosis etc is a good way to backing him along the path.
First, he's got to want to quit. Chantix (by perscription) worked better for me than anything else I've tried.
take him to a cancer hospital and ask a doctor to show him some people roughly speaking to die of lung cancer. First, he's got to want to quit. Chantix (by perscription) worked better for me than anything else I've tried.
First get him to agree to go outside. If he have a garage or something use that. Maybe if he has to have a fix and won't walk outside (middle of the night or something), he needs to try dip or chewing tobacco. It is gross, but it won't affect your child.

Does he any has a high stress employment, personality or both? He most likely have a personality prone to addiction. Exercise may help next to stress and to improve his health. Nothing to strenuous, lately walking or a bike or something. He can take the baby for a ride on a bike form. My kids loved it.

He will have to get medical support for the addiction. Tobacco can be harder to quit than heroine for some people. Get him outside and exercising some and as he feels a bit better about making some progress, he may allow medical help (patch, gum or something the doctor prescribes). Be far-sighted with prescription stuff (actually all of it). Nicotine can put to death you if you over-dose. It was once used to kill "bad" bear!
Have yall tried the gum? He may view that within the same category as the patch, but it might help to ween him past its sell-by date of the nicotine. Does he have any hobbies to help cart his mind off of needing a cigarette? That may also comfort to cut down on the alcohol. If he really wants to quit, yall might even be able to find something you could do together to facilitate keep his mind off of smoking, or even as a relations. Good luck. Visit here stupid.ca its really designed for teens but theres lots of good info. And the patches might support you quit smoking but its still releasing nicotine into teh blood and its possible tog et addicted to the patches. Same with the gum, It happend to my aunt. The addiction is the blood a guy from the rolling stones (cant remember which one) used to shift to a foreing to get his blood drained and then put support in his body to get the nicotine addiction out of his body. Im not sure thats leagal though. But the best track to quit is cold turkey. There are groups you can join for anit smoking. Or for people trying to quit. I know the effects of smoke but you as his wife should be upset because second paw smoke has 3 times the level of nicotine, arscenic (rat poisen) acitone(nail polish remover) and pitch in it THREE TIMES its worse for you then him. Sit him down and make clear to him about it. Shearch it up on the night. Do what you own to do to get him to quit! Best wishes to you two and good luck! Oh yeah and speak about him smoking can shrink your penis by a half an inch after 7 years of smoking a pack a day. Its true and it should upset him!
