It costs 20$ a month for birthcontrol and 12K to have a little one. Seems to me its a good investment. Not to mention to aid for the children once they are born.

Many of the elderly can not afford the high Medical costs surrounded by the US. That is why Medicare was established - to help them when they entail it, to pay for hospital costs, equipment costs, etc. Without Medicare, many of them would die.
And until that time you say, "Let them die and decrease the surplus population", remember you will be 65 someday.
