i can't sit cross-legged for some reason ! idk but my legs jsut won't go down ! is within anything i can do like an excerise or something to be more flexible? if it because my legs are too long? idkk i just really want to sit cross-legged LOL
I'll tell you what, Jazzy.just as soon as you "train" your legs to become pretzels, in that will be a well-meaning health professional to tell you to stop because it is desperate for the blood flow to your legs/feet and that it may promote blood clots.

This is true. So, I would suggest you not try so hard.

As a young party I would sit on one leg until it would fall asleep (a sign of circulation being cut off). Even very soon (I'm a whole lot older) I find myself wanting to sit that way but my joint hurt now...ugh!

By "cross-legged" I would think you propose "Indian style"? Your knees will probably never touch the floor, you know that, right?

That shouldn't be too bad. It's best to start as a child, however, you will have to "stretch" those muscles and it may clutch a while being you have long legs to boot.

Good luck!

Try yoga stretches for the hip flexors, I do them and I can immediately cross my legs easily. Do a bit of cardio for about 15 minutes to heat up the muscles in your hip area and concentrate on the stretching and hold the stretches for in the order of 15 seconds each time. Also sit near soles of feet together and push knees down to the floor, slowly of course and that will stretch the muscles surrounded by your lower back and also in your hips which will give support to you. Answers:    Me neither! In kindergarten my instructor always told us to sit "Indian style" and I used to wonder why it hurt to do it for me but everyone else seemed fine.

I've started sitting crossed legged whenever possible even if it hurts simply so that it can stretch those muscles a bit. I think it's seemed to lend a hand and I can sit like that for longer amounts of time now lacking it hurting quite so bad.
ur out of luck
